Sujit and Sarju had long been stroking their guitars amateurishly (since early 1990s). Around 2003, Puru joined them in their weekend practices of their few dormant compositions in Sujit's house. That is when they seriously thought that they would not limit their creations echo around the neighborhood and occasional/informal gatherings only. Sarju started writing more meaningful songs, further fueling their willingness to record at least an album, despite their occupation with their own varied non-musical professions. Sujit's cousin Ritesh Mardan Thapa, a major source behind the band's motive brought in his buddy - Rajendra for drums. By then, an old friend, Hitlar (who had led many gigs in the 90's) and Prasanna had also vouched themselves in guitars and percussions respectively. After contemplating for a long time, they decided to name the band after Sujit's everyone's-belovedblack Labrador retriever, who mostly became their only audience during the practice.
